Position Overview
Are you proficient in comprehensive payroll processing and eager to become the primary contact for all payroll-related matters? In this role, you will independently handle payroll accounting while gradually expanding your expertise into international payroll topics, systems, and related reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the independent and punctual payroll processing for approximately 450 employees across various employment groups.
- Provide expert advice to employees and managers on payroll, taxation, and social security matters.
- Maintain payroll-relevant personnel, master, and time management data ensuring high data accuracy.
- Process special payroll cases such as phased retirement, non-cash benefits, company pensions, and variable compensation components.
- Coordinate with the finance department to reconcile payroll-related accounts and personnel costs.
- Support income tax and social security audits by compiling necessary documentation.
- Manage external payroll service providers for smaller international payroll units.
- Prepare certificates and manage administrative payroll tasks like A1 applications.
- Contribute to the enhancement and potential transition of payroll and HR systems.
- Develop knowledge in international employment issues and payroll forecasting and planning as desired.
Required Qualifications
- Completed commercial training, HR qualification, or a comparable education.
- Proven practical experience in autonomous payroll processing.
- Strong command of complete payroll procedures and the ability to carry out payroll runs independently.
- Solid knowledge of payroll tax and social security regulations.
- Meticulous, structured, and reliable working approach, able to manage complex payroll matters efficiently.
- Good numerical skills coupled with a strong customer service orientation.
- Fluent in German (native level, C2) and proficient in English (B level).
- Experienced user of payroll, time management, or HR systems; familiarity with PAISY, Sage, SAP SuccessFactors, or Atoss is advantageous.
- Preferably experienced with tariff-bound structures or in manufacturing environments.
- Motivated to expand skills in international payroll topics, reporting, and personnel cost planning.
