Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for employees at Al Majed Oud.co in Dubai, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and company policies. The role involves managing financial dues, deductions, and all aspects related to payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and verify attendance data, overtime, leave records, and monthly deductions in partnership with the Personnel department.
- Calculate employees' monthly salaries including all allowances, bonuses, commissions, and mandatory deductions precisely.
- Prepare payroll sheets monthly, coordinate approvals with the Finance Department, and ensure punctual execution of bank transfers.
- Ensure statutory remittance of social insurance contributions, taxes, and zakat where applicable before deadlines.
- Maintain employee wage data on government platforms such as Social Insurance and the Wage Protection System.
- Guarantee all payroll practices comply continuously with UAE labor laws and WPS regulations.
- Compute end-of-service benefits, unused leave payouts, and final settlements for staff who resign or are terminated.
- Monitor and administer employee loans and advances alongside the Finance team.
- Prepare payroll-related financial reports and cost analysis as requested by senior management.
- Provide frontline support for employee queries about salaries, deductions, allowances, and payslips, resolving discrepancies swiftly and discreetly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 to 4 years of practical experience in payroll processing or financial accounting within an HR function.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulae.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle or comparable HR/payroll software.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, social insurance, and wage protection systems compliance.
