Payroll Executive

Job Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Payroll Executive based in Karachi at ibex. The role involves supporting the payroll department by managing employee payment processes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with Pakistani labor laws and tax regulations. The candidate will also coordinate with various internal departments and external entities to provide accurate payroll services.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and processing of employee payrolls with accuracy and in line with local legal standards.
• Maintain and reconcile employee data including attendance records, resolving any inconsistencies.
• Work alongside HR and Finance teams to verify employee information and address payroll-related queries.
• Keep updated on changes in labor laws and tax policies relevant to payroll operations.
• Issue payslips and verify employees' status for banks, government organizations, and other companies.
• Handle reimbursements such as OPD, leave encashment, and other employee allowances.
• Contribute to payroll audits to confirm data integrity and compliance.
• Provide accurate responses to employees’ questions about payroll and related matters promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or professional qualifications like ACCA/CA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate well within a team setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks under fast-paced conditions.
• Detail-oriented, quick learner, focused on results and customer service excellence.
• High accuracy in data entry and attention to detail.
