Job Responsibilities

• Lead insightful, data-based conversations with current and prospective merchants concerning payment optimization such as card network expenses, fraud prevention, acceptance, and cross-border transactions, initially focusing on Greater China and Southeast Asia.
• Develop optimization strategies and tools by utilising Stripe’s comprehensive payments knowledge and rigorous analysis.
• Support the Sales team with relevant tools and training to engage merchants effectively.
• Apply advanced optimization methods across Stripe's merchant portfolio using existing tools.
• Collect merchant feedback and internal insights to influence Stripe's product development roadmap.
• Continuously enhance self-service tools and optimization playbooks based on performance data and feedback.

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in payments or operational roles within leading tech companies or payment consultancy firms.
• Proven track record of fostering cooperative relationships across diverse functional teams.
• Ability to excel in dynamic, ambiguous, and fast-paced work environments.
• Self-motivated professional capable of independently achieving business outcomes.
• Experience presenting directly to merchant clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in data processing.
• Fluency in Mandarin, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel periodically within the region, including key markets and corporate headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of card network regulatory standards, fraud management best practices, and familiarity with local payment methods.
• Experience with AI technologies, SQL querying, dashboard creation, data modeling, or reporting.
• Competence in delivering data-driven presentations to senior leaders.

Work Arrangement

Employees assigned to offices are expected to spend at least half of their working time in the local office or interacting directly with users monthly. Depending on the team and role, this onsite presence may vary to ensure effective collaboration and support.

Compensation and Benefits

The yearly salary for this position in Singapore ranges between S$206,800 and S$310,200, which may differ by location. For sales positions, this figure represents the On-Target Earnings (OTE) including base pay and commissions. This range covers multiple career levels and will be determined individually during the interview, factoring in experience and qualifications. Additional benefits can include equity options, bonuses or sales incentives, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness allowances.
