Role overview
This position supports the Divisional Finance team with hands-on administrative and finance operations work. The aim is to keep internal finance records current, accurate, and properly reflected in downstream reporting.
The role sits within Talent Formula, a consulting firm that provides outsourced financial and accounting HR services to chartered accounting firms across the world. The Hyderabad accounting team currently includes an Intermediate / Senior Accountant position.
What you will do
- Keep people-related finance records updated by handling starters, leavers, and transfers in a timely manner.
- Manage time forecasting activities and maintain reliable time and billing analysis.
- Administer assignment structures, including assignment roles and important reference fields.
- Support reporting and business initiatives such as budgeting, forecasting, assignment leader rotations, strikes reporting, and lost client tracking.
- Compile information on staff strikes related to missed administrative deadlines.
- Prepare and share system reports to respond to ad hoc queries.
- Carry out data-cleaning work connected to lost clients.
- Support assignment leader rotation changes by reporting and processing required updates.
- Review contractor time data to help approve incoming invoices.
- Produce regular billing analysis for wider business stakeholders.
- Update Partner Schedule reports each month.
- Refresh assignment leader and manager portfolio records whenever changes occur.
Skills and experience needed
- A graduate or postgraduate qualification in any discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Strong proactiveness and dependability, with the ability to anticipate data updates and people movements.
- High attention to detail and a consistent approach to reconciliation and data-quality checks.
- Ability to spot irregularities and follow issues through to resolution.
- Good workflow management, with the ability to balance monthly cycles and urgent ad hoc tasks.
- Clear communication skills and a habit of escalating issues promptly.
- Composure under pressure when handling multiple deadlines.
- Discretion in handling people data and confidential information.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, including automation and process enhancement ideas.
