Operations Analyst

About the Role

Join the Operations & Technology team as an Operations Analyst on a 15-month contract. In this role, you will support daily investment operations, address system and data issues, and help improve processes. Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues in a supportive environment while developing your technical and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact point for daily operational inquiries, triaging issues and escalating complex matters to senior team members.
• Manage JIRA tickets by logging, tracking, gathering details, and escalating for timely resolution.
• Support data quality efforts by executing documented procedures, conducting routine checks, and maintaining audit trails.
• Assist in updating processes and workflows by documenting current procedures, recommending enhancements, and testing changes under guidance.
• Contribute to audit preparations by organizing documentation, reconciling routine data, and ensuring records are complete and accessible.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and testing activities including scheduling and status reporting.
• Maintain and update forms, filing systems, business rules, and workflows by implementing changes and documenting revisions.
• Investigate data integrity concerns by reproducing issues, collecting examples, and tracking resolutions.
• Support client platform troubleshooting by resolving access and data problems, documenting findings, and gathering requirements for improvements.

• Assist project initiatives by gathering requirements, updating trackers, and identifying risks or dependencies to the project lead.
• Collaborate on analyses, validate outcomes, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Support project execution through organizing communications, meetings, and follow-ups.
• Help prepare and maintain project-related documentation such as requirement notes, plans, and meeting minutes.
• Participate in testing system or process changes by following scripts, capturing evidence, and documenting results and defects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Committed to continuous process improvements seeking multiple small enhancements simultaneously.
• Solid foundational data skills with proficiency in Excel and some experience with SQL and/or Python from academics or internships.
• Familiarity with BI and automation platforms such as Power BI and Power Automate is advantageous.
• Holds an undergraduate degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Statistics.
• Up to two years of experience in financial services including internships or co-op placements is preferred.

Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. This range represents the base salary in accordance with applicable legislation.
