About the Opportunity
Busways Group, a well-established transport provider, is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Administration Assistant to join their Ryde depot in New South Wales. This full-time opportunity is ideal for those with prior administrative experience, a knack for customer service, and a desire to support critical operational functions in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver front-desk reception services, including answering queries, greeting visitors, and managing lost and found items.
- Offer comprehensive administrative assistance in areas such as banking, handling petty cash, ordering supplies (including uniforms), procurement, and overall office management.
- Participate in operational support by helping with charter reservations, answering driver-related questions, updating student transport information, and keeping accurate records of daily operations.
- Collaborate with both internal and external partners, including drivers, educational institutions, customers, and governmental entities like Transport for NSW.
- Assist with compliance measures, such as coordination of audits, facilitating drug and alcohol test administration, managing induction processes, and updating operational documentation.
Requirements
- Background in administration or operational support, preferably within a high-volume, customer-facing setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, and Word), along with the capability to adapt to new technological systems.
- Demonstrated organizational talent for multitasking, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and spoken, to cultivate productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving initiative, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Eligible to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or other valid, unrestricted work rights).

Additional Information
- This role offers an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with a high likelihood of transitioning to permanent employment after the contract period (conversion rate above 90%).
