Role Overview

The position of Merchandiser at Sealink Fashion Private Limited is a full-time role based onsite in Tiruppur. This role encompasses the complete merchandising lifecycle, from liaising with buyers to understanding their product needs and preparing costing and pricing models. Key daily duties involve monitoring order progress, verifying production schedules, confirming compliance with product specifications and quality benchmarks, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The position demands collaboration with design, production, and quality assurance departments, as well as consistent communication with clients to provide progress updates and resolve any issues.

Additional responsibilities include supporting sample development, evaluating market trends and customer preferences, and advising on product assortment improvements and commercial viability to enhance overall business performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication capabilities to effectively coordinate across internal teams and with international buyers.
• Customer service aptitude for managing buyer relations, addressing inquiries promptly, and fostering sustained partnerships.
• Experience in sales and retail, supporting understanding of market demands, product market positioning, and merchandising commercial aspects.
• Marketing knowledge to assist in product presentations, interpret branding requirements, and aid merchandise planning.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for order monitoring, documentation upkeep, and deadline adherence.
• Familiarity with knitwear or apparel production processes and quality assurance standards; experience with export-oriented setups is an advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and fundamental data analysis skills for preparation of cost sheets, report generation, and performance tracking.
• Possession of a diploma or degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, Apparel Management, Business, or related disciplines.
