Key Responsibilities
- Execute specific segments of larger engineering projects under supervision from senior engineers.
- Identify and document inconsistencies or issues found in engineering results.
- Offer technical support and mentorship to junior and entry-level engineers.
- Conduct engineering tasks including complex calculations, tests, and data collection following established methods.
- Manage assigned project activities within agreed budgets and timelines with moderate oversight.
- Develop and suggest solutions to new challenges encountered during project implementation.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Five to seven years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Advanced ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses.
- Strong background in engineering testing, data gathering, and validation techniques.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving aptitude with innovative thinking.
- Clear and precise documentation skills for technical reports and findings.
- Proficient in CAD and other engineering analysis software tools.
- Comprehensive familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of explaining technical matters to varied audiences.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance.
- Track record of handling projects with defined schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in team environments.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes with focus on optimization.
- Experience using project management software and tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or significant progress toward licensure.
- Leadership experience in coordinating engineering projects or technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with quality assurance practices and continuous improvement frameworks.
