Internship Overview
This position offers hands-on experience in a Class 10 cleanroom wafer fabrication environment at ADI's Limerick, Ireland site. Interns will engage in maintaining and improving semiconductor manufacturing tools, supervised troubleshooting, and contributing to development projects. Working within a team of experts, interns will gain valuable practical skills and knowledge of advanced technologies including electronics, high vacuum systems, pneumatics, and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting tasks under mentorship.
- Contribute to tool development and enhancement projects.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on problem investigations and solution implementation.
- Document and present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Interpret technical documentation such as manuals, schematics, and specifications.
Learning Opportunities
- Implement preventive maintenance and standard operational procedures.
- Develop analytical troubleshooting skills including Root Cause Analysis and the 5-Why method.
- Gain experience with cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment like Applied Materials Implanters, Nikon Steppers, and LAM Etchers.
