Material Handler Specialist

Role Overview

The Material Handler Specialist plays a key part in coordinating the flow of shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all logistics processes are executed smoothly within the warehouse environment at DSV — a global leader in transport and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to and follow all relevant operating procedures rigorously.
• Collaborate and communicate daily with customers and transporters, managing order planning to fulfill shipment delivery and collection needs efficiently.
• Collect data meticulously and produce accurate reports for supervisors.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and manage inventory verification processes.
• Ensure timely and organized handling of all inbound shipments, including exchanges and returns, as well as outbound shipments.
• Maintain accuracy and promptness in all shipment documentation submissions.
• Drive process improvements and support their rollout within operations.
• Report any receiving discrepancies or non-conformances promptly to supervisors.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficient with SAP Warehouse Management System and experienced in handling electronic devices such as RF scanners.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and VBA.
• Ability to create and utilize operational dashboards efficiently using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Effective problem-solving ability demonstrating creativity in overcoming operational challenges.
• Confidence in expressing ideas and sharing best practices to boost team performance.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external customers.
