Line Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview

The Line Maintenance Mechanic role demands comprehensive expertise in airframe and engine systems maintenance, focusing on aircraft such as A320 and A330 models equipped with CFM/LEAP engines. Candidates will be responsible for preparing, executing, and evaluating borescope inspections, compressor wash tasks, and ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of airframe and engine systems maintenance procedures.
• Prepare Borescope Inspection (BSI) and Compressor wash equipment on-site efficiently.
• Conduct borescope and engine wash tasks as per Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) standards.
• Assess and analyze damage identified during BSI according to AMM guidelines.
• Compose detailed reports documenting BSI results and engine condition.
• Supervise and monitor engine runs following compressor washes.
• Maintain BSI and engine wash equipment properly and report any equipment faults.
• Authorize aircraft release post-completion of maintenance tasks.
• Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance including system modifications on all Thales Systems.
• Communicate effectively in English for technical purposes, both written and spoken.
• Utilize computer skills to operate Word, Excel, and related software.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Possess A320 Type Rating with CFM/LEAP engines.
• Hold A330 Type Rating qualification.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License: GACA A & P, FAA, or equivalent.
• Certified in A320 (CFM56/LEAP 1A) family type rating plus engine run or borescope inspection certification.
• Approved for CFM 56B Borescope Inspection.
• Minimum of 3 years experience certifying maintenance on A320 aircraft.
• At least 5 years experience within line or base aircraft maintenance environments.
• Proficient in English for technical communication.
• Computer literacy with working knowledge of Word and Excel.
