The role focuses on fostering meaningful connections, enhancing wellbeing, and delivering personalised activities tailored to residents' interests and needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement diverse activities and outings aligned with the Five Ways to Wellbeing framework to encourage resident independence and community engagement.
• Develop strong relationships by understanding residents' preferences and adapting programmes accordingly.
• Organise social events, celebrations, wellbeing initiatives, and excursions.
• Operate the resident van safely during community outings and appointments, ensuring wheelchairs and mobility aids are secured correctly.
• Collaborate with the broader village team to enhance resident experience and maintain a safe environment adhering to health and safety policies.

What You Bring

• Background in coordinating activities or hospitality programmes, especially catering to older adults.
• Enthusiasm for enhancing the quality of life of senior residents.
• Possession of a Full New Zealand Driver Licence with confidence driving larger vehicles.
• Physical capability to assist with wheelchairs and mobility equipment handling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust and rapport.
• Organisational prowess and creative thinking for planning engaging experiences.
• Positive mindset and readiness to support team efforts where needed.

Employment Details

This part-time role requires availability for 16 hours over weekends (Saturday and Sunday), with potential to add an 8-hour weekday shift when possible.
