Job description

Role Overview

As the Global Commission Operations Leader, you will oversee the comprehensive management of the worldwide sales compensation cycle. You will act as the critical link among Sales, Finance, and HR teams to formulate, execute, and monitor commission plans that promote revenue growth, guarantee compliance, and incentivize global sales staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Finance to craft competitive commission frameworks, quota allocations, and special incentive programs aligned with market standards.
  • Direct and manage monthly and quarterly commission calculations, ensuring total accuracy and on-time payments while meeting global payroll deadlines.
  • Administer and enhance compensation management systems such as SAP, Oracle, Snowflake, and Workday to support operational excellence.
  • Create and maintain analytic dashboards for monitoring commission costs, projecting payouts, and evaluating sales incentives' effectiveness.
  • Lead a dedicated support team to promptly address commission-related inquiries, perform audits, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintain close coordination with Legal, HR, and Operations departments to ensure commission plans adhere to regional labor regulations and corporate compliance policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Sales Compensation, Revenue Operations, or Finance leadership roles with at least 5 years in a global leadership capacity within a large multinational organization managing varied products and services.
  • Expert proficiency in Incentive Compensation Management systems such as SAP, Oracle, Varicent, or equivalent platforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll compliance on a global scale.
  • Proven success managing multifaceted, high-volume compensation plans across diverse geographical locations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex compensation data for executive and sales teams.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience overseeing extensive system implementations or process transformation projects within global Operations or Finance functions.
  • Ability to effectively work in fast-moving, matrixed environments while managing competing priorities with composure.
  • Possession of project management certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and commitment to Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for technology with insight into leveraging digital transformations to enhance operational efficiency in a global enterprise context.
