Role Overview

As a LACE Junior Coach, you will play an essential role in supporting Agile adoption across teams. Your responsibilities will range from helping implement Agile practices to working closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to nurture continuous team improvement and maturity, all within a remote work setup in South Africa or the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teams in embracing Agile methodologies consistent with the Agile Playbook and established ways of working.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to reinforce Agile principles through hands-on coaching based on the LACE coaching model across various stages of team maturity.
• Support and oversee the use of Jira and Jira Align tools, ensuring best practices and data integrity are maintained in managing work items like Epics, Features, and Stories.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as planning sessions, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, providing feedback on their effectiveness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying challenges, tracking team maturity, and enhancing training materials and playbooks.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety by exemplifying zero-harm behaviors to foster a world-class safety culture.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• A fundamental grasp of Agile frameworks with practical experience supporting Agile teams, preferably in a transformation context.
• Experience with Atlassian suite tools, notably Jira; familiarity with Jira Align is a plus.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills paired with a mindset oriented toward continuous improvement.
• Relevant Agile certifications, ideally SAFe.
• Prior experience working in remote, cross-functional teams is advantageous.
