Role Purpose

The Labour Planner will coordinate and oversee labour scheduling aligned with detailed production plans in a continuous 24/7 manufacturing environment. Collaborating closely with the Operations Team, the focus is on reducing production time and costs, optimizing resource deployment, and maximizing operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct mid to long-term analyses of labour requirements.
• Ensure delivery of necessary skilled resources while maintaining compliance with Working Time regulations across multiple business units.
• Implement change management initiatives effectively.
• Utilize technical expertise and business systems for tasks including testing, troubleshooting, and process mapping.
• Manage reporting activities showcasing metrics attained and identify necessary corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly payroll data, covering worked hours, skill set distributions, and absence breakdowns for agency and in-house staff.
• Maintain accurate staff records.
• Review and manage Working Time Directive compliance through mid to long-term planning.
• Carry out monthly audit activities.
• Coordinate logistics for transport requirements.
• Handle accommodation arrangements and liaise with recruitment and third-party agencies to maintain adequate staffing within accommodation facilities.
• Perform any other duties assigned as appropriate by the company.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proficient written and spoken English communication.
• Minimum three years of experience in labour planning roles.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
• Flexibility to work five days out of seven in a 24/7 production setting, including potential additional hours outside regular shifts.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Competent using PCs, email, and MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Holding a current transport license CPC is advantageous.
