Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated buildings or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary depending on client needs, requiring adaptability in assigned duties.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Hourly wage: $12 per hour
• Shift hours: Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain various floor types by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Adhere to procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances
• Dispose of trash appropriately, including operating compactors when needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning agents and tools
• Perform spot-cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper products and sanitary supplies regularly
• Follow established housekeeping schedules rigorously
• Occasionally handle heavy cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Complete additional duties as assigned based on job scope or client requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months experience in a janitorial role
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training
• Strong attention to detail skills
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and effectively

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in janitorial or cleaning roles
• Knowledge of custodial methods and commercial cleaning standards
• Experience with floor care including buffing and waxing
• Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
