Job Details

• Position: Janitor
• Work hours: Part-time or full-time
• Compensation: $15 per hour
• Payment frequency: Weekly pay

Primary Duties

• Clean and maintain various floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Use chemicals and power cleaning equipment responsibly to avoid damage to property
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrances
• Empty trash receptacles and manage proper waste disposal, including use of compactors when applicable
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors with appropriate products and tools
• Spot-clean carpets and assist with carpet shampooing and extraction processes
• Restock paper and sanitary supplies as needed
• Adhere to established housekeeping schedules
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on client needs or work scope

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months’ experience in a janitorial role
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience
• Familiarity with custodial standards and practices
• Knowledge of floor care methods such as buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance
