Role Purpose
The IELTS Invigilator in Darwin will support the test centre ensuring exceptional service delivery to all candidates while strictly adhering to IELTS regulations. The role involves coordination with team members, effective management of customer inquiries, and overseeing pre-test, test day, and post-test procedures to achieve operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences during all test phases in person.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Provide accurate guidance on official IELTS preparation materials and IDP services.
- Assist clients from diverse backgrounds with various needs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and customer focus.
- Manage test day logistics including customer registration and supervision during examinations.
- Prepare essential documentation for test administration.
- Maintain and update digital records and schedules for Speaking tests.
- Handle confidential materials securely and respond to potential security issues.
- Troubleshoot technical systems involving hardware and software.
- Contribute ideas toward continuous improvement and the implementation of best practices.
- Ensure compliance with IELTS standards for all operational phases.
- Complete all mandatory training and policy acknowledgments.
- Maintain professionalism aligned with organisation values including integrity and excellence.
Required Experience and Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven track record of outstanding customer service.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality.
- Excellent organisational skills enabling management of multiple tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and Microsoft Teams; confidence in using various technologies.
Additional Information
- Position is primarily casual, with 2 to 3 shifts monthly, exclusively on Saturdays.
- Hourly wage for this role is $34.44 AUD.
