Investment Data Analyst

Overview

This position is responsible for delivering precise and timely gold-standard investment data within designated data domains, emphasizing operational effectiveness and quality. The role demands analyzing diverse complex data exception reports, overseeing quality control queries, and generating periodic reports with accuracy and punctuality. Collaborative efforts with colleagues across various teams are essential to enhance and maintain operational workflows.

Primary Duties

• Generate accurate gold-copy investment data within specific domains, managing tight deadlines, prioritizing multiple tasks, and synthesizing numerous inputs to achieve defined operational goals.
• Conduct research and analysis on data discrepancies involving internal and external partners, maintaining controls to ensure data integrity and authorized distribution throughout the enterprise.
• Perform execution and in-depth analysis of a range of daily and periodic data reports and quality control checks promptly and precisely.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identify trends, and ensure service levels for data feeds are met; escalate challenges to the appropriate support teams when necessary for swift resolution.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes based on operational insights, propose and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and data quality, and perform root cause analysis to address errors with both immediate and long-term fixes.
• Build and maintain relationships within the data management community, sharing expertise and working collaboratively across multiple departments to improve global processes.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of assigned funds and securities, understanding the operational processes and ramifications of data handling downstream.
• Support projects by engaging in acceptance and regression testing, conducting system monitoring, and producing test cases and monitoring reports to guarantee data completeness and accuracy.
• Create, update, and enhance Data Management procedures and workflows, quickly identifying and escalating control issues to minimize impact and ensure compliance with standards.
• Participate in special initiatives and other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

• Possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or have a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Have a minimum of two years of professional experience, with at least one year within finance or investment sectors preferred.
