About the Role

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) invites applications for multiple Identity Resolver positions within the Identity Management team, part of the Identity Services in the Immigration Risk and Border (IRB) branch of Immigration New Zealand. IRB safeguards the integrity of New Zealand's immigration system.

The Identity Services team specializes in identity and biometric verification supporting visa and NZeTA decision processes and risk management. Their duties include manual resolution of automated facial and biographic matches, forensic and biometric services, and international collaboration and information exchange.

These full-time, permanent roles are Wellington-based and provide an exceptional opportunity to develop expertise in identity management within a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities focus on biographic and biometric identity resolution tasks.

Eligibility

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold a permanent residency visa. Candidates proceeding in the recruitment will be required to pass a face matching test.
