About the Role
An established construction and contracting firm based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is looking for a skilled Human Resources Manager to head their HR department. This position demands extensive experience managing HR functions focused on project-based and site-specific manpower within the construction or contracting industries, with in-depth knowledge of Saudi employment laws and labor practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the recruitment and deployment processes for technical, site, project, and corporate roles.
- Design, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and strategic workforce planning.
- Handle employee relations, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution.
- Supervise onboarding, employment contracts, payroll coordination, leave tracking, attendance management, and maintenance of employee records.
- Assist with manpower planning across various projects and departments.
- Ensure strict adherence to Saudi labor laws and internal company policies.
- Manage processes related to employee transfers, contract renewals, terminations, and end-of-service benefits.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and department heads regarding workforce needs.
- Monitor HR metrics such as headcount, turnover rates, and recruitment progress.
- Advance Saudization and initiatives promoting the growth of the national workforce.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while enhancing HR systems and processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager within construction or contracting firms.
- Deep understanding of managing workforce needs for project and site environments.
- Proven expertise in employee recruitment, mobilization, and relations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Saudi labor laws and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with HR information systems, payroll operations, and government employment platforms.
- Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Prior work experience within Saudi Arabia or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages preferred.
