Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive non-medical care in line with each client's personalized Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through engaging conversations, reading, and participating in social activities
• Support clients' emotional well-being and maintain their mental alertness
• Perform light housekeeping including tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, laundering, and cleaning bathrooms
• Prepare meals for clients according to their needs
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or mental states
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and team members
• Accurately complete required documentation promptly
• Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and engage in ongoing education
• Ensure confidentiality and safe use of equipment at all times
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum education of high school diploma
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain and maintain them
• Completed Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
• Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is advantageous
• Dependability, punctuality, and commitment to delivering quality care
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of following instructions effectively
• Authentic passion for assisting others, upholding integrity and honesty

Physical and Work Environment

• Physical activities include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting light loads up to 12 kg (25 lbs)
• Requires manual dexterity and strength in both hands
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens or infectious diseases
