Role Overview

We seek a Horticultural Designer to join our seasonal design team this August for the Fall delivery period. The workload fluctuates during the season, peaking in busy phases of installation. This role involves direct engagement with live plants at our outdoor production site, crafting seasonal displays that our Fine Gardeners will install. Enliven's design environment is fast-moving, cooperative, and precise. You will collaborate with skilled designers and the Lead Designer to adapt to daily changes in plant inventory while adhering to our aesthetic and standards. Independence and productivity by mid-season are expected.

Key Responsibilities

Create and assemble seasonal planter and window box designs using live plants.
Maintain high quality and consistent output while working efficiently.
Adhere to Enliven's design guidelines and incorporate real-time feedback.
Assist in receiving and organizing large incoming plant shipments.
Keep staging and work areas tidy and well-organized.
Monitor plant and material conditions during production, reporting any concerns to Nursery personnel.
Occasionally support on-site seasonal styling and assist gardening staff as necessary.

Candidate Profile

Strong visual design sensibility with eagerness to learn our seasonal styling approach.
Receptive to guidance and comfortable collaborating closely with the Lead Designer.
Thrives in a busy setting while maintaining composure and teamwork focus.
Dependable and punctual, recognizing the importance of timing in seasonal work cycles.
Detail-oriented and committed to producing neat and uniform work.
Physically able to perform essential duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varied weather.
Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
No previous horticulture experience required; training is provided. Preference granted to those with design backgrounds.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage of $18 per hour.
