Role Overview

As a Graphic Designer at Stratus, you will leverage cutting-edge computer technology to design and produce sign and building illustrations. You will support our design efforts by delivering innovative, creative, and technically sound solutions that satisfy customer and business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process design requests submitted by Sales, Program Management, and the Service Department.
• Utilize the latest iterations of CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Cloud software to create both conceptual and technical production artwork.
• Research and adapt to new signage and design technologies to enhance efficiency and apply value engineering to signage products.
• Engage directly with sales personnel and program managers to accurately assess customer design specifications.
• Participate in regular design meetings organized by your direct supervisor.
• Carry out additional design-related tasks assigned by Design Management to ensure prompt completion of drawings and production support.

Key Qualifications

• Preferable familiarity with signage industry norms and practices.
• Competency in generating computer-based graphics and presentation artwork.
• Ability to swiftly acquire new design methodologies and technologies.
• Strong multitasking capability thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace.
• Organized, methodical, and creatively inclined.
• Excellent proficiency in managing time effectively.
• Effective communicator with the ability to articulate artistic concepts clearly.

• Skillful keeping multiple projects concurrently active.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractional to decimal conversions.

Education & Experience

• Associates or technical degree in Art or Design is preferred.
• Proficient use of the latest CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT applications required.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Microsoft PowerPoint is advantageous.

Working Environment

This role requires prolonged periods of computer screen time.

Compensation

The hourly pay ranges between $24 and $27, subject to factors such as responsibilities, role requirements, as well as individual skills and experience.
