General Cashier

Position Overview

The General Cashier role at Four Points by Sheraton, located in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, focuses on ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and secure management of cash and related assets. This position involves verifying figures and documentation for correctness, organizing financial data, maintaining records according to company policy, and supporting audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify mathematical accuracy and coding of financial entries, postings, and documents.
• Secure, organize, and maintain all financial records, cash, and cash equivalents per established policies.
• Record and analyze computerized financial information, classify and summarize data using journals, ledgers, or electronic systems.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and generate required reports.
• Perform periodic audits of cashier banks following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage distribution and recording of petty cash, cashier banks, and contracts.
• Document, monitor, communicate, and address all cash variances as per SOPs.
• Serve as the liaison between property management and armored car services or main banking institutions.
• Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audits and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and safeguard company and guest information.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, handle telephone etiquette, and support teamwork to achieve shared goals.
• Physically handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in financial or cashier duties.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
