Role Purpose
The Front Office Manager is responsible for more than just managing front desk activities. This role focuses on building a strong, unified team and delivering exceptional experiences for every visitor to the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with guests and team members to foster seamless collaboration.
- Resolve guest challenges innovatively, turning potential issues into positive outcomes.
- Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring initiatives for the Front Office team, ensuring continuous professional growth and performance management.
- Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety standards, respond promptly to emergencies, and prioritize safety for guests and staff alike.
- Accurately process reservations, manage guest account information, and analyze operational reports and data.
- Track and manage budgets, expenses, and revenue to support sound financial decision-making and meet operational goals.
Skills and Experience Needed
- Background in hotel operations with proven experience leading teams as a supervisor or manager.
- Strong ability to multitask and perform well under pressure, supported by excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with property management and reservation systems is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays.
