This is a full-time remote opportunity in Canada for a Fraud Specialist supporting a partner company. The hiring process and all follow-up steps are handled by that employer.

Key accountabilities

Track marketplace activity to surface suspicious behavior and stop fraudulent transactions.
Examine data to uncover fraud trends, new threats, and likely attack techniques.
Handle escalated fraud investigations and advise on actions based on risk evaluation.
Work with product, data, and engineering partners to strengthen fraud detection and prevention capabilities.
Build and update dashboards, reports, and alerting tools that support continuous monitoring.
Help shape fraud prevention policies, operating procedures, and internal guidelines.
Spot weak points and recommend changes that improve user trust and platform protection.

Requirements

Background in fraud prevention, risk operations, trust and safety, fintech, e-commerce, or marketplace settings.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with comfort interpreting data and drawing practical conclusions.
Exposure to fraud monitoring platforms, anomaly detection approaches, or rule-based risk controls.
Careful, detail-focused approach with initiative in identifying and resolving threats early.
Ability to collaborate smoothly with cross-functional teams, including product, data, and engineering.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced scaling environment.
Good English is needed; stronger proficiency is preferred because the working language is international.
