Role overview
This position is for an experienced technology and product leader who can take charge of large-scale digital and technical change initiatives from the initial plan through to final delivery. The work typically involves mid-sized to larger organisations that need senior ownership of intricate transformation programs.
The mandate covers the entire journey: reshaping an existing product, creating new products or rebuilding existing ones, introducing key business systems such as ERP, e-commerce/shop platforms, and BI tools, as well as refactoring legacy codebases. The ideal person can work comfortably across product thinking and hands-on technical delivery, setting the overall direction while also ensuring execution happens effectively in complex, mixed system environments.
Success in this role is measured by business outcomes achieved through transformation, not simply by completing roadmap items.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of complex technology transformation programs from strategy through implementation.
- Guide product repositioning initiatives and oversee the creation or redevelopment of products and software.
- Lead the rollout of core business systems, including ERP, e-commerce/shop, and BI solutions.
- Manage structured refactoring work for existing codebases.
- Bring senior stakeholders together and direct delivery teams toward measurable outcomes.
Profile
The client is looking for a senior product and technology executive with a background at C-level or equivalent senior leadership, such as CPO or VP Product.
You should have a proven history of leading complicated transformations end to end, with the ability to handle both product strategy and technical execution. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, especially when working with senior business and engineering leaders.
Professional-level English is required.

This is a contract role based onsite in Germany. The role is positioned as a fractional leadership engagement for complex tech transformations.
