Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers and AI specialists, fostering a culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and ongoing development.
• Manage team performance by setting goals, providing feedback, overseeing career progression, and planning talent acquisition.
• Ensure top-notch delivery across multiple forward-deployed client engagements, meeting defined success metrics.
• Set technical direction and architecture guidelines with senior experts and tech leads.
• Resolve escalated delivery risks, team challenges, and customer issues decisively.
• Establish strong ties with senior client stakeholders and SAP leadership, representing the team's achievements and advocating for necessary resources.
• Attract, hire, and integrate top talent across AI, data science, and software engineering areas.
• Align team capabilities with strategic goals through collaboration with product, go-to-market, and regional leaders.
• Promote engineering best practices, responsible AI standards, and a culture of innovation and learning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Substantial leadership experience managing senior engineering teams and nurturing high-performing inclusive work environments.
• Robust technical expertise in AI, machine learning, data engineering, or software engineering, capable of guiding technical decisions and earning expert trust.
• Proven knowledge of forward-deployed or customer-embedded delivery frameworks with experience overseeing complex, high-profile projects.
• Strong analytical and design thinking skills balanced with practical delivery management.
• Competence in talent development, organizational navigation, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
• Experience working within Agentic AI contexts and understanding AI agent applications in teams and customer settings.
• Skilled in recruiting and scaling engineering teams internationally with a dedication to diversity and inclusion.
• Excellent communication and influencing capabilities for liaising with engineers, executives, and clients.
• Familiarity with SAP AI technologies and enterprise AI implementation is beneficial.
