About the Role

Greenwood Court Care & Nursing Home, situated in Chelmsford, CM2 7TL, is seeking a dedicated Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team. Part of the Country Court family, the home comprises 64 bedrooms and provides a warm, homely atmosphere catering to diverse resident needs. Our committed management and compassionate care team ensure personalized, respectful care that transforms the facility into a true home for residents.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve meals, snacks, and drinks to residents.
• Maintain and restock snack stations regularly.
• Clean dining areas promptly after meal times.
• Set and reset tables, including cloths.
• Keep dining and kitchen spaces tidy and hygienic.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual with a commitment to fostering a resident-centered environment and engaging with the local community. Prospective candidates should possess:

• Strong customer service capabilities.
• Previous experience in a food and beverage assistant or comparable role.
• Solid knowledge of the food and restaurant industry.
• Familiarity with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
• A warm, caring disposition.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and their families.
• Understanding of dementia care principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Additional Information

Applicants must have legal permission to work in the UK and provide verification upon hire. Currently, sponsorship applications are not accepted. The weekly schedule consists of 40 hours with weekend duties on a rota basis.
