Position Summary

The Finance Systems Functional Support role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Power User specializing in Finance. Operating primarily at the Tier 2 support level, the individual will provide expert guidance on the operational use of Oracle Financial Applications. This role ensures execution of finance strategies, enforces process compliance, supports end users, and collaborates closely with Oracle technology teams to drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing strategies outlined by the Finance Global Process Owner.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of finance policies and process requirements to maintain organizational compliance.
• Deliver Tier 2 user support, troubleshooting questions, issues, and requests related to Oracle Financial systems.
• Help users resolve problems with system functionalities to minimize operational disruption.
• Partner with Oracle technology teams to design and manage end-to-end finance solutions.
• Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new processes and software releases.
• Raise complex or unresolved technical issues to higher-level support.
• Analyze finance area performance metrics and recommend continuous enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combined education and work experience.
• Two to four years of professional experience in a Finance function.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
• In-depth understanding of financial operations and accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and finance systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling interaction with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced finance coursework or certifications, including Oracle Financial Systems expertise.
• Prior practical experience with Oracle Financial ERP systems.

Additional Information

The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya with possible travel up to 20% and potential placement in Manila, Philippines.
