Role overview

In this Estimator position, you will prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of construction projects. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, gathering pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and supporting planning and budgeting activities. You will work with internal teams to help deliver successful project outcomes and identify opportunities to improve value and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and tender documentation for construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, plans, and project specifications to build pricing.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive quotations.
• Assist with project budgeting and planning processes.
• Work alongside internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Spot value-engineering options and practical cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• Prior estimating experience in the construction sector.
• Experience across residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects.
• Well-developed knowledge of the industry and existing subcontractor/supplier networks.
• Ability to manage several tenders and overlapping deadlines at once.
• Strong accuracy, detail orientation, and analytical thinking.
• Positive, proactive approach with strong team collaboration skills.
• Clear communication skills plus good organisation and time management.
