Engineering Manager / Logistics Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager / Logistics Manager to spearhead engineering functions alongside managing logistics and supply chain operations. The focus is on enhancing operational efficiency, reliability, and fostering continuous improvement. This role demands leadership over engineering projects, logistics processes, and collaboration across various teams to drive growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct engineering and logistics departments ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Plan and supervise engineering projects along with activities in transportation, warehousing, and inventory oversight.
• Draft engineering and logistics strategies, alongside scheduling projects, managing budgets, and resource allocation.
• Track operational metrics, monitor project timelines, and assess logistics efficiency through KPIs.
• Oversee teams comprising engineering staff, logistics employees, contractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
• Manage preventive maintenance, asset upkeep, and equipment reliability initiatives to enhance performance.
• Enhance transportation routing, warehouse management, inventory governance, and supply chain workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce expenditure.
• Conduct risk evaluations, root cause investigations, and process reviews to identify and implement continual improvements.
• Work jointly with procurement, production, quality control, finance, and leadership to execute cross-functional projects.
• Ensure adherence to engineering norms, workplace safety standards, transport regulations, environmental guidelines, and company protocols.
• Handle engineering documentation, logistics records, specifications, operating procedures, and related project reports.
• Assist with budgets, procurements, capital investment planning, vendor relations, and contract management.
• Champion digital transformation efforts including automation, ERP, WMS, TMS, and other engineering-related technologies.
• Prepare reports on operations, performance dashboards, presentations, and strategic advice for senior management.
• Keep abreast of latest engineering technologies, supply chain innovations, AI tools, and industry-leading practices.
• Promote a culture centered on safety, operational excellence, cooperation, responsibility, and ongoing advancement across the engineering and logistics sectors.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or similar discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of managing engineering tasks, logistics, supply chain, project execution, and operational excellence.
• Familiarity with engineering design, maintenance systems, transportation, warehouse and inventory management, and distribution.
• Experience with ERP software, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems, and project management tools.
• Awareness of engineering standards, occupational health and safety, quality management, and supply chain best practices.
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, process enhancement techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication skills including writing, speaking, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engineering and logistics projects effectively.
• Meticulous attention to quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Capable of working autonomously and leading diverse teams and external vendors.
