Team Overview

The Infrastructure Team underpins all Protex systems by crafting scalable data frameworks, ensuring robust edge-to-cloud connectivity, and delivering high-performance backend services. This team supports real-time computer vision applications at the edge and develops resilient infrastructure to promote global workplace safety.

Role Summary

We are actively seeking an Engineering Manager to lead infrastructure initiatives spanning cloud and edge environments. Your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing CI/CD pipelines, designing scalable observability platforms, and ensuring system reliability across globally distributed operations. You'll enhance developer experiences by maintaining environment parity (Development, Staging, Production) and securing data integrity across regions.

Key Responsibilities and Expertise Required

• Lead infrastructure efforts focusing on cloud and edge deployments.
• Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines for diverse environments.
• Design and maintain observability and monitoring systems to uphold system reliability.
• Manage deployments that comply with regional data protection standards like GDPR.
• Foster strong collaboration with engineering teams to ensure cost-effective and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Mentor team members and guide technical direction.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 8 years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Profound expertise with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience deploying infrastructure using Terraform.
• In-depth understanding of SRE principles emphasizing uptime and reliability.
• Solid experience with monitoring, observability best practices, and automating CI/CD pipelines tailored for cloud and edge environments.
• Familiarity with real-time, distributed, or IoT infrastructure and Unix-based operating systems.
• Experience managing multiple environments (Development, Staging, Production) ensuring consistent and production-quality data.
• Strong grasp of cloud security protocols including secrets management, threat prevention, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Advanced expertise in developing CI/CD pipelines specifically for edge deployments.
• Familiarity with improving DORA metrics and methodologies.
• Experience supporting or adopting AI-first workflows is a bonus.
