Engineering Manager - Generative AI

About the Role

We are on the lookout for a skilled and proactive technical leader to steer our Generative AI team. This position requires a candidate with an extensive background in machine learning, natural language processing, and hands-on experience deploying AI solutions in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute machine learning and generative AI projects from start to finish.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of ML and backend engineers.
• Supervise development of innovative generative AI applications.
• Define and drive the technical strategy and make architecture decisions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions align with business objectives.
• Manage project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and oversee budget adherence.
• Promote high standards in code quality, testing, and deployment processes.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience building and launching machine learning or AI applications.
• Experience in managing and mentoring ML/AI engineering teams is desirable.
• Proven skills in natural language processing, machine learning, and generative AI.
• Expertise in developing and deploying Python-based production ML services.
• Proficiency with prompt engineering techniques, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent frameworks, and large language model (LLM) serving tools.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL is advantageous.
• ElasticSearch or comparable search technologies is strongly preferred.
• Python web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• ML frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, or Scikit-Learn.
• Agent frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen are a plus.
• Knowledge of Python backend development and understanding of relevant system architectures.

Eligibility

Salary Range

Offered salary is between 2,500,000 and 4,500,000 INR annually.
