About the Role and Organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure fair, respectful, and consistent treatment of employees aligned with WRI’s core values.
  • Promptly carry out unbiased investigations concerning complaints and alleged misconduct.
  • Prepare detailed written investigative reports.
  • Provide support and guidance to local HR teams on their investigative responsibilities.
  • Monitor investigation processes from initial intake through final resolution.
  • Apply decisions resulting from investigations and follow up as necessary.
  • Keep current with internal governance, compliance requirements, reporting obligations, and pertinent legal standards.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records within HR systems ensuring compliance.
  • Promote positive employee relations and engagement through strong interpersonal collaboration.
  • Deliver employee training to support policy adherence when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in employee relations or complaint investigations, preferably with exposure to multiple countries.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in international non-profit sectors is advantageous.
  • Competence in conducting thorough and complex workplace investigations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply diverse country-specific employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Expertise in investigative interviewing techniques.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to explore complex issues in depth.
  • Excellent written communication skills to author clear and precise reports and correspondence.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for engaging all organization levels.
  • Interpersonal sensitivity to handle diverse cultural contexts and facilitate resolutions.
  • Confident public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Must possess valid work authorization; WRI cannot sponsor visas.
