Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced EMI/EMC Hardware Design Engineer based in Chennai to join Onward Technologies Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for Electronic Control Unit (ECU) level EMC validation through bench and chamber testing, ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ECU-level EMC validation using bench and chamber testing protocols.
- Manage test setups involving instrumentation like LISN, CDN, GTEM, antennas, and coupling devices.
- Apply knowledge of ISO 11452, ISO 7637, and CISPR 25 standards relevant to EMC testing of components.
- Perform detailed failure analyses for EMC deviations, including root cause diagnosis and component behavior assessment.
- Develop and validate mitigation strategies such as filtering, grounding, and PCB layout recommendations.
- Compile EMC validation reports and synthesis documentation for stakeholder review.
- Collaborate with suppliers to clarify technical details at the component level and drive corrective measures as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) in any specialization.
