Elementary Homeroom Teacher

About the Role

Saud International School in Riyadh is seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary Homeroom Teachers to join their team. The successful candidate will be warm, patient, and well-organized, passionate about nurturing young learners. This role requires creating a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere where children feel secure, confident, and motivated to learn through structured lessons and play-based experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging preschool lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and academic goals.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of young children.
• Support early literacy, phonics, numeracy, communication, motor skills, social, and emotional growth.
• Develop age-appropriate learning activities, worksheets, classroom displays, and hands-on experiences.
• Maintain consistent classroom routines, set behavior expectations, and encourage positive student interaction.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, providing targeted support as necessary.
• Keep detailed records of attendance, student progress, classwork, behavior, and communication with parents.
• Engage in professional communication with parents, coordinators, and school management about student development and classroom matters.
• Utilize the school's learning management system and academic tools as required.
• Contribute to school-wide events, celebrations, assemblies, and early years programs.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and academic teams.
• Supervise children ensuring their safety and adhere strictly to health, safety, and safeguarding policies at all times.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, English, or a related discipline.
• Early years teaching certification or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in preschool or early years education.
• Strong skills in classroom management suitable for young children.
• Proficient in English with excellent communication abilities.
• Capability to create engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Patient, caring, responsible, and professional attitude when interacting with young learners.
• Ability to work well within a team and adhere to school policies and academic guidelines.
