Electrical Technician

Job Overview

As an Electrical Technician at Salayel Hospitality, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing all electrical systems across various hospitality properties. Your primary goal is to ensure guest safety, comfort, and seamless operations in accordance with high hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical components such as lighting, power distribution networks, sockets, switches, electrical panels, and control systems.
• Maintain low voltage (LV) systems, distribution boards (DBs), motor control centers (MCCs), emergency lighting setups, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) where needed.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults expediently to minimize downtime, responding to breakdowns and guest requests promptly.
• Carry out regular electrical inspections in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house zones, and plant rooms to ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Ensure compliance with UAE electrical codes and safety regulations during all electrical work.
• Assist in the testing and upkeep of fire alarm and life safety systems as required.
• Collaborate with supervisors and external contractors when necessary to resolve issues or upgrade systems.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, checklists, and document work orders accurately.
• Adhere diligently to hotel standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and brand quality standards at all times.
• Be available for emergency call-outs, shift rotations, weekend duties, and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience ranging from 2 to 5 years working as an Electrical Technician, ideally within hotels or serviced apartment environments.
• Possess strong practical understanding of low voltage electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of fire alarm systems and emergency power solutions is preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE safety standards and electrical regulations.
• Capability to work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends, and on-call periods.
• Basic proficiency in English communication; Arabic language skills will be considered an asset.
