Role Overview
The eCommerce Commercial Insights Analyst is a pivotal role requiring the ability to analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights that shape strategic business decisions. This role involves collecting and interpreting sales and marketing data, optimizing digital performance, and contributing to the improvement of the online customer experience on Dysoncanada.ca and related media channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate, update, and present weekly performance and promotional reports that inform business choices.
- Utilize advanced data platforms including MS Excel, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics to process large data volumes and provide trend analysis and business insights.
- Collaborate with eCommerce sales leadership to support planning for sales strategies, promotions, forecasting, and assortment evaluations.
- Develop and maintain Adobe and Tableau dashboards to enable users to access data insights independently for informed decision-making.
- Manage special projects and respond to ad hoc business data requests.
- Monitor customer behavior changes on the eCommerce platform and communicate findings and recommendations to the eCommerce and broader teams.
- Analyze various data sources such as digital analytics, customer feedback, and session replay tools to investigate issues and suggest data-driven solutions.
- Support the design and post-analysis of multivariate and A/B testing in collaboration with the eCommerce team.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of digital data tagging on multiple Dyson digital properties.
- Create compelling visual reports to clearly display performance metrics, trends, and recommended actions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and analytics platform changes, assessing their impact on current initiatives.
- Work with product marketing teams to deeply understand customer preferences and construct integrated cross-channel customer journeys.
- Partner with eCommerce and media teams to measure channel effectiveness (SEO/SEM, Display, Paid Social, Affiliates), support forecasting, and highlight opportunities to enhance user engagement and conversions.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related discipline is required.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in sales analytics, with strong knowledge of eCommerce user journeys, digital usability, and user experience principles.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Tableau is advantageous.
- Strong expertise in web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics, including understanding data collection and processing methodologies.
- Excellent storytelling skills to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to identify digital optimization opportunities through data insights and translate them into actionable testing and campaigns.
- Skilled in verifying and debugging analytics data for quality assurance.
- Proficient in creating impactful data visualizations and reports.
- Knowledgeable of data management practices, multi-channel marketing, and conversion rate optimization strategies.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution of business goals.
- Proactive problem-solver who adds value to the team and supports colleagues.
- High attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and commitment to quality work output.
