Director of Program Management

About the Role

A prominent gaming and entertainment products company based in Elk Grove Village, IL is looking for an experienced Director of Program Management to oversee complex product development, manufacturing launches, and retail ready initiatives. This leader will head the Program Management Office (PMO) function, driving large-scale product programs through all phases from concept to production launch while ensuring cross-departmental coordination among engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, operations, and executive teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide program execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and new product introduction.
• Manage the PMO function to ensure efficient progress of complex product development programs.
• Maintain alignment across multiple functions including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain through all stages of product launch.
• Implement and refine PMO processes and governance to improve launch execution and accountability.
• Coordinate supplier launch activities and manage engineering change processes.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive manufacturing environments, particularly in program management roles overseeing vehicle or product launches and manufacturing readiness within high-volume settings. Experience working with both traditional manufacturing and incorporating software development lifecycles (SDLC) is important.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• At least 10 years of leadership experience in complex manufacturing programs within automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 suppliers.
• Expertise managing enterprise PMO organizations or broad cross-functional program portfolios.
• Knowledge and practical experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, change management, production launch, and manufacturing readiness standards.
• Strong collaboration skills partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations leaders.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Product Development or related discipline.
• PMP certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Hands-on leadership style thriving in fast-paced product development environments.

Experience from automotive OEMs, tier 1 suppliers, or large manufacturing companies such as Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Honda, Rivian, Tesla, Lucid, Magna, Bosch, Denso, Lear, Aptiv, Adient, or ZF is highly desired.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time, onsite position based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
• Competitive salary range: $150,000 to $170,000 per year.
