Design Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager with expertise in architecture and interior design specifically tailored to hospitality projects. The candidate should have successfully completed design delivery for at least five international branded hotels or resorts, managing projects end-to-end from concept through execution while aligning with brand standards and regulatory codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the entire design process for hospitality ventures, including hotels and resorts, starting from concept design to construction documentation and onsite execution.
• Collaborate closely with international hotel operators and brand representatives to ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines and standards.
• Promote design excellence across architecture and interior design disciplines while coordinating related teams, consultants, and external parties to meet project quality and deadlines.
• Review and sanction design drawings, select materials, and approve technical documents.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable local and international building codes, regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Incorporate BIM workflows throughout projects, guaranteeing effective coordination between disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in architecture, interior design, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with at least five internationally branded hospitality projects (hotels or resorts).

Skills & Technical Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of hotel design standards and operational needs.
• Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit and comprehensive skills in CAD software.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of both local and international building codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Experience with owner-side BIM governance including EIR and BEP.
• Capability in multi-disciplinary design coordination and management.
• Expertise in setting up and controlling common data environments (CDE), performing audits and quality reviews of BIM models for compliance.
• Ability to provide BIM input for project control reporting and ensure digital handover readiness including as-built and asset data preparation.
• Coordination of hospitality system vendors and stakeholder reporting with leadership in meetings.
