Design Engineer - Solar Mounting Structures

About the Role

We seek a dedicated Design Engineer skilled in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and STAAD Pro to undertake the design of solar mounting setups. The position involves creating optimized profiles, collaborating closely with sales and production teams, and delivering tailored designs to meet client specifications.

Key Duties

• Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and STAAD Pro to design solar mounting frameworks.
• Create comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings including general arrangement, fabrication, and manufacturing blueprints.
• Conduct structural analysis and perform load calculations with STAAD Pro software.
• Develop and refine structural profiles aligned with project and customer criteria.
• Liaise with sales personnel to grasp customer needs, providing appropriate design outputs and documentation.
• Compile Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate material requirements.
• Work alongside the production team to confirm design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Adapt designs in response to client feedback, site-specific demands, or project modifications.
• Maintain daily logs documenting tasks completed, pending assignments, revisions made, and overall project advancement.
• Ensure punctual delivery of design assignments without compromising quality.
• Keep thorough records of drawings, revisions, calculations, and project documentation.
