Demand Planning Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and result-oriented Demand Planning Manager to oversee demand planning activities and accurately forecast future product requirements. This role entails analyzing sales trends, inventory status, and market movements to ensure products are available in the correct quantities and timing. The manager will collaborate with multiple departments to sustain supply continuity, support sales targets, and minimize inventory fluctuations, including shortages and surpluses.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the creation of demand plans by utilizing sales data, stock levels, and seasonal patterns to predict future product needs.
• Examine historical and current demand figures to detect trends and shifts impacting product availability and inventory management.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Procurement, and Inventory teams to synchronize demand plans with company operational and commercial goals.
• Continuously update demand forecasts taking into account market dynamics, promotional activities, offers, and business expansion.
• Supervise inventory monitoring to identify items with shortages or excess stock and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop demand scenarios for new product launches, seasonal marketing campaigns, and promotions jointly with related departments.
• Track forecast accuracy, analyze differences between projected and actual demand, and propose corrective measures.
• Assist procurement and supply chain decisions through accurate forecasting and insightful analytics to enhance planning processes.
• Create and refine demand planning models and forecasting methods to boost accuracy and supply chain performance.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards detailing demand forecasts, accuracy metrics, inventory levels, and planning deviations.
• Lead and manage the Demand Planning team by allocating responsibilities, monitoring progress, and fostering professional growth.
• Ensure adherence to demand planning standards and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the planning cycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Between 7 to 10 years of pertinent professional experience.
