Position Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a partner organization seeking a Data Visualization Specialist located in Canada. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with a global, remote team at the convergence of data analytics, technological innovation, and social impact.

As a pivotal contributor, you will convert complex datasets into straightforward, insightful visual reports that drive product development, enhance user experience, and support strategic business decisions. You will collaborate closely with product and business teams to establish measurement strategies and illuminate growth opportunities through thorough data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop compelling dashboards, reports, and visual data presentations utilizing tools like Google Data Studio to clearly present performance insights.
Interpret and analyze intricate datasets to generate actionable recommendations supporting product enhancements and commercial objectives.
Query platform data to assess product performance, spot trends, and address vital business inquiries spanning multiple markets.
Collaborate with product leadership to establish dashboards and measurement frameworks that inform roadmap and business priorities.
Perform analyses of user journeys, funnels, and churn rates to detect friction points and identify opportunities for increased engagement and impact.
Maintain the integrity and quality of data products by troubleshooting, validating data, and resolving any inconsistencies.
Communicate sophisticated technical concepts and statistical outcomes effectively to leadership, commercial stakeholders, and external collaborators.
Assist in defining product metrics and contribute to standardizing methods for gauging success.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Between three to five years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, or similar analytical roles.
Strong command of SQL and comfortable handling complex datasets.
Demonstrated ability in creating dashboards and reports using visualization platforms such as Google Data Studio or equivalent software.
Advanced skills in Excel and adeptness in data manipulation.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving proficiency paired with clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working autonomously and collaboratively within remote, internationally distributed teams.
Educational background preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or related disciplines.
Familiarity with data warehousing technologies like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar is advantageous.
A keen interest in employing technology and data-driven solutions to foster significant social impact, especially in emerging markets.
Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Canada, reside within the Ontario Eastern Time Zone, and be available during regular business hours.
