Data Scientist / Data Visualization Analyst

Job Overview

Cervejaria Imperial is looking for a highly analytical and detail-focused Data Scientist / Data Visualization Analyst to be part of its expanding data team in Hamburg, Germany. This full-time position involves gathering, examining, and interpreting complex datasets to produce actionable insights, alongside crafting dynamic dashboards and visual representations to aid strategic business decisions. The role requires close cooperation with various teams to address business challenges with data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire, clean, and analyze extensive datasets from multiple sources.
• Create dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using business intelligence tools.
• Use statistical and machine learning methods to detect patterns and derive insights.
• Design and manage data models that facilitate reporting and analytical operations.
• Work with stakeholders to comprehend business needs and convert them into analytical solutions.
• Track key performance indicators and communicate insights to management.
• Contribute to building and refining data pipelines and reporting workflows.
• Maintain high data quality, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
• Document methodologies, reports, and technical procedures thoroughly.
• Keep abreast of emerging data science, artificial intelligence, and visualization technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, Analytics, or a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and expertise in visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
• Understanding of SQL databases and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud services including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to make effective presentations.
• Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaborate within a team.
• Fluent in English; German language proficiency is desirable but not required.
