Data Scientist - Artificial Intelligence

Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Data Scientist specializing in Artificial Intelligence with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru. This role requires deep expertise in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agent frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, and deploying advanced AI applications leveraging modern AI frameworks and cloud technologies. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to craft scalable AI solutions that address complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning solutions tailored for enterprise applications.
• Construct and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines using vector databases and embedding models.
• Create multi-step AI agent systems capable of executing planning, reasoning, tool utilization, and workflow automation.
• Fine-tune, assess, and deploy large language models for specialized domain applications.
• Develop NLP and generative AI-based projects such as chatbots, document intelligence, knowledge assistants, and automation platforms.
• Process and analyze structured and unstructured data for feature engineering, preprocessing, and model training.
• Apply prompt engineering strategies to enhance AI model accuracy and output quality.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems through REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and product teams throughout the AI development lifecycle.
• Optimize AI model inference speed, latency, scaling, and overall production performance.
• Continuously monitor AI models, evaluate performance metrics, and introduce improvements as needed.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI research, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Solid grasp of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Proficiency with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning methodologies.
• Experience in natural language processing, text analytics, and transformer-based model architectures.
• Skilled in model evaluation techniques, feature engineering, and tuning machine learning models.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and generative AI technologies.
• Capability to develop and deploy RAG pipelines effectively.
• Knowledge of multi-agent AI systems or multi-step AI agent architectures.
• Expertise in prompt engineering and semantic search methods utilizing embeddings.
