Role overview
A national nonprofit organization is looking for a meticulous Data Coordinator to join its Research and Data team in Washington, DC. This position suits someone with hands-on experience in survey research, data handling, and reporting, and who is comfortable working with detailed datasets that support evidence-based decisions.
What you will do
- Help plan and run annual surveys by drafting communications, sending survey materials, and guiding respondents through the process.
- Check data for accuracy through validation, editing, verification, and quality control steps.
- Handle data entry, extraction, downloads, and simple statistical analysis tasks.
- Support the creation of annual reports, keep data tables updated, and assist with broader reporting work.
- Prepare routine and customized reports for both internal teams and outside stakeholders.
- Work with teams across the organization on survey design, data collection, reporting, and research efforts.
- Contribute to special assignments and other research-related projects as needed.
- Be prepared for occasional travel if required.
What we are looking for
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or research-focused field such as Statistics, Public Health, Public Policy, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Research Methods, or a closely related subject. Relevant coursework in statistics, research methods, survey methodology, data analysis, program evaluation, or similar areas is also expected. You should have at least two years of experience in survey research, data analysis, research support, or a comparable role. Prior experience in healthcare, higher education, nonprofits, or membership associations is a plus.

Additional details
The role is based in Washington, DC and follows a hybrid work setup. The salary range is $62,000 to $70,000. This is a full-time position. Occasional travel may be needed.
