Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst to provide critical support in reporting, dashboard creation, and data-driven business investigations within a financial services team. This contract role is long-term and fully remote, centered around San Francisco, California. The position involves engaging closely with stakeholders to deliver timely and comprehensible insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and optimize regular reports and analytical outputs that aid business decision-making.
- Design, update, and improve dashboard solutions in Looker tailored to changing stakeholder demands.
- Perform detailed data investigations to resolve reporting questions related to business activities and client inquiries.
- Manage workload effectively under a sprint-driven methodology, prioritizing and accommodating incoming tickets.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define scope, and communicate delivery timelines clearly.
- Provide continuous analytics and reporting support to translate complex data into practical business insights.
- Maintain an equilibrium between stakeholder communication and actionable analysis to ensure smooth execution and coordination.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience in data-centric roles such as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, or Data Engineer.
- Deep experience in reporting, dashboard building, and comprehensive analytics workflows.
- Hands-on proficiency working with Hex dashboards and DBT in professional environments.
- Strong SQL skills, including query writing and debugging capabilities for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience working within agile or sprint-based teams.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and manage deadlines independently.
- Proven ability to analyze data and convert findings into actionable business recommendations.
